Community Art Project in collaboration with the indigenous Mangyan and Tagalog youth of ABRA DE ILOG
LIFELINE SUPPORT FOUNDATION TEAM INC., PHILIPPINES
The collaborative public art installation of Ralph Eya, Jonas Camposagrado, and the Mangyan and Tagalog youth sited at the "aplaya" of Brgy. Sigman, Abra de Ilog, Occidental Mindoro is an ephemeral work composed of assembled found objects from the immediate surroundings, created within a 5-day art workshop and production period. The whole creative process aimed to nurture self-identity, encourage social connectedness, and strengthen the value of unity amongst the Mangyan and Tagalog youth.
Bantayog is an embodiment of identity, local pride, and social harmony of the community.
